New module - Pandora

We're delighted to announce a new Eurorack module, Pandora.
'Pandora' is a bandpass filter/distortion processor, based on an unusual combination of power MOSFET transistors and vactrols. Voltage control is provided over the two sides of the filter, the gain, and the filter feedback. A wet/dry mixer is provided, also under voltage control.
A range switch is provided to drop the filter response several octaves, at which point the module becomes capable of synthesising percussion sounds when fed trigger pulses.
The module is 100% analogue.
Pandora is available immediately, stock permitting - see Where To Buy.

A collection of pieces that mainly started out as sketches written on piano, these were then programmed into the Digitakt and fleshed out on a modular system. The final tracks mix sequenced parts with live playing, the piano and granular sounds from the Disting EX blending with typical modular bleeps and arpeggios, backed by percussion sounds built from a variety of noise sources.
Available as a cassette or digital release. The cassettes should be shipping out in the next week or so.

New module: CVM-8 now available

We're delighted to announce a new Eurorack module, the CVM-8.
The CVM-8 is an eight channel CV to MIDI and CV to I2C converter. Its two independent MIDI ports can be used with any MIDI device via 5 pin DIN or TRS 3.5mm jack breakouts, or connected directly to other Expert Sleepers modules via their MIDI breakout headers.
Compatible Expert Sleepers modules include the disting mk4, FH-2 and ES-9 (MIDI only) and the disting EX (MIDI and I2C). Compatible breakouts include the MIDI Breakout and the Tiny MIDI Breakout.
The CVM-8 also sends on the Select Bus, so no wiring is required to drive, for example, the disting EX.
As an added bonus, the module provides I2C-to-MIDI functionality.

New album release : Ned Rush - The Plunderer Expresses

We're delighted to announce the fifth release on the Expert Sleepers label, "The Plunderer Expresses" by Ned Rush. Here's how Mr Ned Rush describes it:
Available now as a digital release and on cassette.
This is a collection of one take jams recorded during the very early hours of the morning entirely on a modular system, recorded into a computer via the ES-8 and finally edited into a mix tape in Ableton. Many of the function, modulation and sequence utilities come from multiple Disting mk4s and some times the Disting EX. LFOs and rising and falling envelopes would be run into quantisers to create off kilter evolving sequences, whilst gates would be opened and closed using random triggers and other modules would be randomised using sample and hold functions. A lot of the fm percussion was patched using only the 3 Distings, as well as other circumstantial sounds.
Available now as a digital release and on cassette.
